Clemson
Area Chamber of Commerce
Our Chamber volunteers and staff
will welcome you with enthusiasm to the Historic Clemson Railroad Depot
and one of the most unique visitors centers in South Carolina. It is
located on bustling Tiger Boulevard (US Routes 123 and 76) near SC133 in
Clemson. The Depot also contains an active AMTRAK waiting station.
South Carolina's Governor, the State's Department of Archives and History,
and the Palmetto Historic Preservation Trust recently applauded the
renovation of this 19th century structure. It was one of only five
restoration projects statewide acclaimed for excellence in the
preservation, restoration and interpretation of the State's architectural
and cultural heritage. The interior decor tastefully combines a number of
themes with emphasis on the early years at Clemson College and
turn-of-the-century railroad life. The Center also contains a wealth of
information about beautiful Pickens County, its many destinations and the
quaint university character of Clemson's College Avenue with its shops and
restaurants. Additional information is also available about the charming
nearby Town of Central, with its noted railroad history, and the
delightful community of Six Mile.
The Chamber's hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday year round. We
are open on Saturday from 10:00am until 3:00pm and Sunday from 1:30pm
until 4:00pm April through October. Located at 1105 Tiger Boulevard, our
mailing address is P.O. Box 1622, Clemson, SC 29633. Call (864) 654-1200
or (800) 542-0706 toll free. You may visit us at www.clemsonchamber.org. |

Pickens Chamber of Commerce
On June 15,1869, a handbill
distributed in South Carolina's Upcountry advertised the "last sale
of Town lots". The ad stated, "The location is most desirable,
one situated on a beautiful plateau and surrounded by a fertile region,
with thrifty inhabitants and the village rapidly growing." That
statement still holds true today. Much of the City's past is present
today, giving a glimpse of its rich and fascinating heritage. The City of
Pickens also serves as the County Seat and is located in the geographical
center of Pickens County. The Pickens Chamber is proud to serve its
members and area residents and assist visitors to our area. The Chamber
offers information to tourists visiting the Pickens area as well as the
entire County. The Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to our
area and to serving you in any way we can.
The Pickens Chamber of Commerce is located at 222 West Main St. (Hwy.
